Leading the next generation of craftsman design and execution.
What we do.
SmartCyte is a veteran-owned business based in the Puget Sound. Our design-manufacture-construct process creates efficiencies by using a computer-assisted design platform, advanced manufacturing techniques and highly skilled labor.
We’ve invented a more cost-effective way to deliver customized multi-family housing, integrated healthcare facilities, data centers, micro power grids and other critical infrastructure. Blending conventional design and construction methods with state-of-the-art technology, we’ve created a process similar to how industry leading aerospace manufacturers build airplanes.
We’ve reimagined how to use these advances, along with a skilled workforce in a factory-type setting, to create a process that improves safety, is less wasteful, increases quality and is faster to complete than more traditional practices.
How we do it.
Our facility kits are made of steel and sustainable plastic polymer and are energy efficient, durable, LEED certified, and pathogen-resistant. The steel truss assemblies, joints, girders, and supports (the skeletal structure of the building) are precision manufactured using the latest in computer-aided design (CAD).
Within the facility, wall panels are made of a sturdy polymer, are re-configurable and are pre-constructed in a factory. The electrical wiring, outlets, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic piping and internet fiber are in place as part of the assembly process. The standardized kit of parts is shipped and constructed using our unique SureFit™ system.
We are transforming the traditional craftsmen field process to a precision component manufactured operation where elements are constructed into units that are field-ready for installation. This process is fast, affordable and built to last, resulting in sustainable, quality structures.
Faster, less expensive, improved quality, reduced waste and better for the environment.
SmartCyte buildings can be built to meet conventional construction codes at a much lower cost. The majority of the manufacturing is carried out offsite using specialist machinery in a quality-controlled factory environment, which in turn, reduces the potential for moisture to be trapped in walls and construction materials. Also, construction timelines are not affected by weather or other site issues, making installation on average a significantly faster process.
The controlled environment also reduces waste, leading to a lower environmental impact. On average, 67% less energy is required to produce a SmartCyte building and up to 50% less time is spent onsite when compared with traditional methods, resulting in up to 90% fewer vehicle movements around the project which in turn, reduces CO2 emissions.
